I am currently in my 13th year of teaching Middle School English/LA. I have taught at schools on both ends of the spectrum, from at-risk to schools who serve mostly upper-middle class.  Both have their share of challenges, but they also have many reminders of why I chose to become a teacher in the first place...the students.  I truly love what I do, and am extremely passionate about being the best teacher that I can be.

When I'm not dealing w/ the crazy pre-teens, you can usually find me at the baseball field with my 3 favorite guys.  My husband, Jason and I have 2 boys, ages 8 and 6.  Both eat, sleep, and dream baseball.  When we're not at one of their games or practices, you can most likely find us watching the Detroit Tigers on TV (my husband is from just outside of Detroit).  He has brainwashed both of our boys (and me too I guess) and now we're all a little obsessed.  Our favorite players are Miguel Cabrerra (go #24) and Justin Verlander.

Both boys earned the game ball w/in the last couple of weeks.  I was definitely one proud mom!!!
